Celebrations are the punctuation of Life!

Okay that title came off sounding a little more profound than I wanted, but perhaps that's the point of it (yes there's a bit of a pun there). 

So what am I really trying to say?  As I am updating content at ExchangeTavern.com, I'm bringing down a notice about our Easter Celebrations, and anticipating Administrative Professionals Day this week, and our Mother's Day Brunch is just weeks away on May 8th.  I can't help but feel it is our special privilege to help facilitate celebrations, and making it easy to enjoy special times, and as my mom always said, "make memories."

As we ponder all the firsts that have transpired in our pub over the years--yes we've been here FIVE years--and it warms our hearts to have been a part of these wonderful happenings!  We've hosted big events like wedding proposals made right here, birthday and job promotion celebrations, bachelorette and bachelor parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, and even celebrations of life. 

But more often we get to see everyday joys transpiring--casual and spontanous gatherings of friends simply enjoying each other over a meal, or perhaps sharing the evening while listening to some great live music, or the happy that comes from removing the strain of cooking by eating here, or just enjoying a Guinness while playing a game of cribbage at the bar.  These little moments are the stuff life is made of.

I saw a quote recently that says it all:  "Blessed are those that see life as the journey."  We get so excited to be part of big celebrations, but her at The Tavern we thrive on being part of the little joys we see unfold here every day!  This is what makes a pub special, and distinguishes The Tavern from being just another bar or restaurant.  Life happens here :o)
